Description
Grown at elevations below the requirement to be called “Blue Mountain” this coffee shows up at auctions with little or no information attached to it. It can be assumed the lack of BM certification would dissuade the large plantation growers, and place the production amongst a number of small holders.
I told my distributor this was quite possibly the worst looking green coffee I have seen. It is supposedly washed, well, not well. It is definitely not screened, and broken beans have not been culled.
Something went right though. This coffee is great in the cup. Best of all, it is only a third of the price of it’s sibling with a bigger marketing budget.
Zero acidity, smooth, fruity-blueberries and stone fruit
